About River Voice Poetry

My Name is George C. Thomas.  I am a husband and a father of 3 girls. I grew up in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains of Washington State. Despite living and working in different locals over the years, the Pacific Northwest and the Olympic Mountains hold a special place in my heart. I am an avid hiker, and over the years I have logged 6230 miles in the Olympic Mountains and surrounding forest land. Being alone in the wilderness is a sacred experience for me, and it is out in nature where I do my deepest thinking. Among other academic pursuits, I attended Western Washington University and then attended Minnesota State University where I studied Sociology. I have developed a keen interest in social psychology and the perspectives of Symbolic Interaction and of Ethnographic research.  I am a coach, trainer, speaker, and writer.  Feel free to comment on my thoughts and poetry shared on this blog. Information regarding my professional speaking, training, and coaching services are available by contacting me via email.
